To pursue the role of an Instructional-designer, it is significantly important to possess instructional design skills as well as Learning Management skills. Below you will find three types of skills: Instructional Design Skills, Learning Management  Skills, and Technical Experience.

ID Experience 

Instructional/Learning Design Experience

  • Created engaging instructional materials, learning activities, and assessments that improve student learning experiences and learning outcomes,

  • Worked with faculty to identify learning goals and objectives,

  • Served as a liaison between the office and other academic departments within the University,

  • Conducted original research and analysis on learners, design approaches, and outcomes,

  • Applied tested learning design theories, practice, and methodologies,

  • Collaborated with media specialists in the planning of visual content,

  • Used the evaluation of learners’ experiences and outcomes to employ design improvements

  • Successfully completed project deliverables on time and within budget in coordination with project managers.

  • Created storyboards for approval for development for all e-learning courseware

  • Developed and delivered new hire training and annual awareness training

  • Captured and edited video for integration into online and e-learning courses

  • Conducted QA checks for all instructional media for training content

  • Implemented learning theories and instructional design models in a master project (Tekeffect.net) in think-tank at ESU IDT department providing research and solutions for educators and parents with regards to technology usage and potentially harmful effects involving school-aged children

  • Built multiple courses for Data Science Degree at Unversity of Notre Dame

  • Experience and good knowledge with Nexus Studio and Nexus Platform 

  • Experience in setting up assessment on Canvas Learning Management System, reviewing student submissions, setting up courses, etc.

  • Developed and submitted course in online learning development

  • Created web-based safety orientation for implementation in corporate training

  • Taught up to 14 people in Advance Instruction Tech for Educators

  • Designed custom e-learning courses tailored to client needs using reality-based scenarios, interactive, and simulations

  • Recognized by the supervisor as an exemplary team member for showing initiative in taking on more challenging projects

  • Utilized classroom, individual, and Live Meeting for the group and personal training

  • Assisted in formal job task analysis and curriculum development

  • Acted independently to provide leadership and support for projects

Technical Experience 

  • Implemented 3D printing technology to construct model cars for science courses

  •  Familiarity with building websites using Adobe Dreamweaver, WordPress, and Wix

  •  Managed Mac Lab in Instructional Design and Technology department

  •   Supported IT group to analyze problems across both Windows and Mac systems
